FRG adheres to the following scale when evaluating prospects for the NFL Draft:
GRADING SCALE
10.0 – The “perfect” player. Absolute lock to be a HOFer. (Player with perfect 10 will always be #1 overall pick)
9.5 – Lock to immediately become one of the elite players at his position. No flaws. (#1 overall pick)
9.0 – Immediate starter. Will become one of the best players at his position in his rookie season. (Top-10 selection)
8.5 – Immediate starter. Will become one of the best players on his team during his rookie season. (Top-20 selection)
8.0 – Starter during rookie season. Will become one of the best players on his side of the ball on his team during his rookie season. (1st round pick)
7.5 – Starter early in career. Will become immediate contributor to team’s success. (2nd round pick)
7.0 – Starter at some point in his career. Solid contributor to team. (3rd round pick)
6.5 – Backup capable of being spot starter. Important role player. (4th round pick)
6.0 – Career backup with important sub-package role. (5th round pick)
5.5 – Backup, special teams player only. (6th round pick)
5.0 – Developmental prospect capable of making practice squad. (7th round, PFA)
4.5 – Reject
